What with the Covid 19 pandemic, and the scarcity of things like cleaning products that went along with it, I started to try to figure out what I need to do to keep my house as clean as I can with what I had on hand… or at least the things that I could lay my hands on reasonably easily. If I could figure it out with minimal impact (as green as I can and as minimally impactful as I can) all the better. If I could get a multi-purpose cleaner that didn’t smell incredibly strong, that would be even better. With my husband having COPD severely, strong smells can trigger a really scary coughing fit.
Turns out it isn’t only possible, it’s simple (if a little time consuming on the lead time).
Google, honestly, is your friend.
I had started saving the citrus peels from the oranges and grapefruits that I had been bringing home recently. I figured there would surely be something I could do with them, even if it was only to toss them into my compost bins. This is a much better use (and they can still end up compost food in the end).
